Garden Grid™ watering systems - Garden In Minutes (2024)

Why Do I Need The Garden Grid™?

Unlike conventional garden watering systems with poor coverage and difficult set ups, our patented Garden Grid™ comes pre-assembled, gives your garden full-coverage watering, and provides you with fully-adjustable water flow and predefined square planting sections for your garden – allowing you to plant evenly, more efficiently, and with less effort. The ground-level water streams help saturate your soil more quickly than drip irrigation and soaker hoses, reduce the risk of plant damage and disease caused by overhead watering, and reduce water loss to evaporation. Plus, its all-season durability is designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, from cold, frozen winters to warm summers.

Which Size Should I Buy?

We size Garden Grids™ to fit the interior dimensions of most gardens, accounting for garden bed material thickness. To know which Garden Grid™ will fit your garden bed, reference the overall size of a Garden Grid™ in our product details and in the product title. Example: A 4×4 Garden Grid™ measures ~44″x~44″.

If your garden bed is larger than any single Garden Grid™ size, you can connect multiple Garden Grids™ together with our multi-Garden Grid™ connection manifold

*Assembled sizes can vary slightly.

What Should I Do If I Am In-Between Sizes?

Order the closest size to fit the interior of your garden, without going over. You can twist the perimeter tubes around so they spray water outward into your extra planting area. Below is a video showing how.

BUT, if you are within an inch or two of the next size up fitting, order the next size up. We leave roughly 1/8th of an inch of extra room at all tube and fitting connections so you can “shrink” the Garden Grid™. This is simply done by pushing and wiggling the tubes on that extra 1/8th of an inch.

For example, you can shrink a 4×4 Garden Grid which is normally 44”x44”, down to about 42.25”x42.25”. A 3×8 Garden Grid™ which is normally 33.5”x88”, down to about 32”x85”. Or say a 2×6 Garden Grid™ which is normally 22.5”x66”, down to about ~21.5”x63.75”

Can The Garden Grid™ Connect To A Sprinkler/Irrigation Line?

In short, yes! You can feed water to the Garden Grid™ from nearly any water source. The most common of course is a garden hose from your spigot.

You can feed water to the Garden Grid™ from your sprinkler system or existing irrigation as long as you have a garden hose adaptor. From this adaptor, you can simply run a garden hose to your Garden Grid™, or connect it directly. Watch how here.

What To Do For Garden Beds w/ Round Corners or Posts

We have cornerless Garden Grids for that!

Here’s a video to explain:

Can I Use Garden Grids™ In My Existing Raised Gardens?

Yes! The Garden Grid™ can be used in raised garden beds or at ground level. Please refer to the dimensions of the Garden Grids™ on the product page to see which size is the best fit for your raised garden bed.

How Do I Interconnect Garden Grids™ That Are Spaced Apart, Using The Manifold?

The bottom of each manifold has an inlet and outlet for garden hoses. Connect a garden hose to the outlet side (capped side) and feed it to your other garden. Connect to another multi-Garden Grid™ connection manifold, or directly to a Garden Grid™.

Can I Connect Just One Garden Grid™ To A Manifold?

Yes! Each connection side of the manifold (the green parts on the top) has water control valves. These valves let you turn water on/off and all points between, for either connection side of the manifold. So if you want, you can have one Garden Grid™ connected to one side of the manifold and the other green connection point unused. This comes in handy if you have multiple garden beds that only need one Garden Grid™, but the beds are spaced apart.

Can You Use Garden Grids™ In Hot Climates?

Of course! We test them in our home-state of Florida and they are enjoyed by gardeners in every state across the U.S. & Canada!

Can I Connect The Garden Grid™ To A Rain Barrel?

The Garden Grid™ watering system requires a minimum of 10psi to operate to its full ability. If your rain barrel is elevated enough (approx. 25 ft), you should be fine. If not, a pump is recommended. Learn more about this here, in our rain barrel video.

What's The Garden Grid™ Made From?

We don’t skimp on quality here either. All Garden Grid™ watering systems are primarily made of LLDPE (Linear Low Density Polyethylene) tubing and ABS plastic fittings. LLDPE is a material commonly used for water lines in things like drinking water purification systems. ABS plastic is a material commonly used in agricultural irrigation and toys, like Legos®. The Garden Grid™ watering system is all-season durable and designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures, from cold frozen winters to hot desert summers.
